There are two methods to change the background colour in MicroStation.
The first method toggles the background between black and white. Go to Workspace >
Preferences > View Windows and check the box that says "Black Background ->
White". Since this is a user preference the background will be displayed as white in
all of the files you enter.
The second method is to change the colour table background color for a design file. This
will only change the background colour of the current design file, without modifying the
background color of other files. If you want this to be a standard then change your seed
files.
Go to Settings->Color Table this will open the colour table dialog box. At the
bottom right hand corner of the colour table is a colour box with the letter B in it.
Double click on this colour and a new dialog will open. Set the colour that you want.
Click the Ok button when done. To make the background color active click on the Attach
button at the bottom of the colour table dialog.
