You can use the Align Elements tool under the Manipulate ToolBox to move elements, like
contours, to the elevation of one element. Bring up a Front view (or right), Select the
Align Elements tool, set the Tool Settings to TOP, select your 'base' element (the element
with the "Z" elevation you want all the others to go to) and start selecting
elements.
OR
You can put the elements you want to move into a Selection Set, then select the Align
Elements tool, pick TOP and all of the selected elements are "aligned" to that
Z.
Align Edges does not flatten individual elements.
