Stroking Elements

• Tools->B-spline Curves->Modify Curves->Drop B-spline Curve command in MicroStation J and V8.
• Tools->3D and B-spline->Modify Curves->Drop B-spline Curve command in MicroStation SE.
• Or use the keyin ‘drop curve’.
  

This command will take Arcs, Circles, Ellipse, Shapes, B-splines, or any Curve type elements, and create a linestring out of them or if you wish you might create lines or points or curve or arcs. This will also work for complex shapes and Complex strings. You can specify different methods: Number of Points, Chord height, or Fixed Chord length, or Equal Arc length. Experiment with the settings and method until you get an acceptable result.

If you set the method and parameters in the toolbox settings, you can drop elements in a selection set, the parameters cannot be set after you start the command but will use the previous parameters.
