Active Scale Tool with Popup Calculator

 

Using the same popup calculator math functions +,-,*,/,= that are available with AccuDraw, you are able to calculate things like scale factors. For example, if you have an element that was placed in a drawing for a 60 scale plot and now it needs to be sized for a 50 scale plot, follow the steps bellow.  

  1. Select the Scale tool, with the input focus in either the X, Y, or Z fields, enter the value "50".
  2.  

  3. Now press "/" this will activate the popup calculator for division.

  1. With the input focus in the popup calculator enter the value "60". Notice the lower portion of the dialog displays a preview of the answer.

4. Press enter or click outside the popup calculator to accept the calculated value. Now that the active scale is set to the correct ratio you can scale the element. If you unlock X, Y, Z Scale then you are able to use the math functions independently for each direction.
