In MicroStation/J when I do a fence>clip>delete through a shape the clipped shapes stay as shapes, or fence>clip>copy the new elements are shapes. How do you set this to do what SE & 95 did and clip delete what ever the fence touched?
Workspace > Preferences > Operation > Use Optimized Fence Clipping.
If this is on then closed shapes, solids and surfaces are maintained when clipping rather that being dropped to linear elements.
