By now, most MicroStation users are aware of the ctrl Z shortcut as an undo command, (unless ctrl Z is set to exit in Preferences) however, it does have a couple of other uses that can be time savers.
| 1. | When placing a smartline or shape, and you place a point in the wrong place, ctrl Z removes that point and takes you back to the previous point placed, allowing you to continue without having to start all over again. |
2. |
When moving or copying an element, the point at which you select the element becomes your base point or point to move/copy from. Try selecting the element and press ctrl Z. MicroStation then prompts you to "define first point" allowing you to reset the base point, much the same as when you select elements with a fence or element selection/power selector tool. |
